WITHOUT revolution or bloodshed, the tiny Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan became the world's newest democracy, as wildflower farmers, traditional healers, Buddhist folk artists and computer engineers voted in their country's first parliamentary elections, ending a century of royal rule.
